Privacy in BørneVejr.

Who is responsible and what this notice covers.

This privacy notice applies to the BørneVejr iOS app published by Steffen Aspe under the SABONEX brand. In this notice, references to SABONEX mean Steffen Aspe operating under that brand.

For personal data that SABONEX actually receives or otherwise controls — for example support correspondence — Steffen Aspe is the data controller. The child-profile information described below is processed locally by the app and is not uploaded to a SABONEX account, backend or server.

BørneVejr is designed for parents and guardians. It does not create accounts for children and is not designed to ask children to communicate directly with SABONEX.

Each profile field has a specific purpose.

A parent or guardian can enter the following information for a child. The app uses it only to provide and personalize the clothing recommendation and the profile experience:

• Name — used to display and distinguish the child's profile and recommendation in the app.
• Date of birth — used to calculate the child's current age. Age affects the recommendation rules and, from school age, which types of outerwear are suggested.
• City or postcode — used to find an approximate geographic location and retrieve the relevant weather forecast.
• From/to time window — used locally to select the part of the hourly forecast that is relevant for the child's day.
• Cold/warm preference — a user-set choice shown in the app as “freezes quickly”, “average” or “often feels warm”. It slightly adjusts how the recommendation interprets temperature. It is not a medical assessment or health profile.

The recommendation is generated automatically from the profile settings and weather data. It is practical clothing guidance, not a medical assessment, and it is not used to make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.

Profiles are stored in the app's local iOS container.

BørneVejr stores child profiles and the selected-child setting locally using iOS app storage (UserDefaults) inside the app's sandbox/container. The current version does not synchronize those profiles to a SABONEX server.

Protection therefore relies on the security of iOS, the app sandbox and the user's device security. BørneVejr 1.0 does not add a separate in-app PIN, Face ID or Touch ID lock for child profiles.

Depending on the user's Apple device and backup settings, Apple's device backup and restore systems may include app data. Those backups are handled by Apple and are not received or controlled by SABONEX.

If another person has unlocked access to the device, they may also be able to open BørneVejr and view locally stored profiles.

How your chosen place is used to retrieve weather.

BørneVejr does not request GPS permission and does not read the device's current location. Instead, the parent or guardian enters a city or postcode.

The entered city or postcode is sent to Apple's geocoding service to obtain an approximate geographic location. The resulting coordinates are then used with Apple WeatherKit to retrieve daily and hourly forecast data.

The child's name, date of birth, from/to time window and cold/warm preference are not sent as profile fields in the WeatherKit request. The time window is used locally after weather data has been returned to select the relevant hours.

BørneVejr does not route geocoding or WeatherKit requests through a SABONEX server and does not keep a server-side copy of those requests. Apple operates the underlying platform infrastructure and handles its processing under Apple's own terms and privacy information. The app does not control which Apple infrastructure location processes a particular request, so this notice does not claim that an Apple request is processed in a specific country.

BørneVejr Plus is a one-time purchase handled through Apple.

BørneVejr Plus is an optional non-consumable one-time purchase. Purchase and restore flows use Apple's StoreKit and App Store infrastructure, and Apple handles the payment transaction and payment details.

The app reads StoreKit product information and verified transaction or entitlement status only as needed to show the price, complete or restore the purchase, and determine whether the Plus feature is unlocked.

SABONEX does not receive payment-card details through the app. Purchase history and transaction information held by Apple are handled under Apple's own terms, privacy information and legal obligations.

No advertising, analytics or cross-app tracking.

BørneVejr 1.0 contains no advertising network, third-party analytics SDK, cross-app/cross-website tracking or SABONEX backend for user or child profiles. The app's privacy manifest declares no tracking and no collected-data categories.

The in-app “too cold / suitable / too warm” feedback choice is currently held only in memory while the app is running. It is not saved to the child profile and is not transmitted to SABONEX.

External services used by BørneVejr.

BørneVejr 1.0 uses a limited set of external services:

• Apple geocoding / Core Location services — converts the entered city or postcode into an approximate geographic location.
• Apple WeatherKit — provides weather forecast data for that location.
• Apple App Store / StoreKit — provides product information, purchase processing and verified purchase status for BørneVejr Plus.
• Simply.com — processes messages sent to info@sabonex.com as the email hosting provider.

Apple's privacy information is available from Apple. SABONEX does not add a separate analytics, advertising or data-broker service to the app.

Retention depends on where the information is handled.

Local child profiles: remain in the app's local storage until you edit or delete the child, remove the app's local data, or uninstall the app. SABONEX has no server copy to remove remotely. Copies that may exist in an Apple device backup are governed by the user's Apple backup settings and Apple's retention processes.

Weather requests: SABONEX does not keep a server-side history of geocoding or WeatherKit requests. Any retention within Apple's services is controlled by Apple.

Purchase information: transaction and purchase history held by Apple are retained under Apple's App Store rules and legal obligations.

Support email: correspondence is kept while a support matter is active and afterwards only while there is a reasonable need for follow-up, security, documentation, dispute handling or legal obligations. There is no single fixed retention period for all support messages; messages are deleted when those purposes no longer apply.

Your privacy rights and choices.

You can edit or delete locally stored child profiles directly in BørneVejr. Because SABONEX does not receive those profiles, SABONEX cannot access, export or erase them remotely on your behalf.

For personal data that Steffen Aspe/SABONEX actually holds, such as support correspondence, applicable privacy law may give you rights including access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection and, where applicable, data portability.

Support correspondence is processed to answer the request, troubleshoot the app and keep necessary follow-up or records. Depending on the context, this may be based on steps requested by you or performance of an agreement, legitimate interests in providing and securing support, or a legal obligation.

For privacy questions or requests, email info@sabonex.com. You may also have the right to complain to the competent data protection authority where you live or work, or where an alleged infringement occurred. In Denmark, the supervisory authority is Datatilsynet.

If BørneVejr changes, this notice will change too.

This notice describes the current BørneVejr 1.0 data flow. If a later version adds accounts, a SABONEX backend, cloud sync, analytics, advertising, new data sharing or another material change in processing, this notice and relevant App Store privacy information will be reviewed and updated as required.
