Privacy in BørneVejr.
This notice explains how the BørneVejr iOS app handles information used to create a child's clothing recommendation from their profile and the weather.
What this notice covers.
This privacy notice applies to the BørneVejr iOS app provided by Sabonex, CVR 35733493, a Danish sole proprietorship.
BørneVejr is designed for parents and guardians. It does not create accounts for children and is not designed to ask children to communicate directly with Sabonex.
Visiting this privacy page or the wider Sabonex website can generate normal website hosting logs. Website handling is described separately in the Sabonex website privacy notice.
Child profiles stay on the device.
To create recommendations, the app can store the information entered for a child: name, date of birth, selected city or postcode, a daily from/to time window, and a personal heat preference.
These child profiles and the selected-child setting are stored locally in the app's device storage. BørneVejr 1.0 has no Sabonex account system, backend or server where these profiles are uploaded.
Sabonex therefore cannot remotely view, retrieve or delete the child profiles stored only on your device.
How the app gets local weather.
BørneVejr does not request GPS permission or access to the device's current location. Instead, it uses the city or postcode that you enter in the child's profile.
The entered city or postcode is sent through Apple's geocoding service to obtain an approximate geographic location. The resulting location is then used with Apple's WeatherKit service to retrieve weather forecasts needed for the recommendation.
The child's name, date of birth, selected from/to time window and heat preference are not sent as profile data in the app's WeatherKit weather request. Apple processes geocoding and WeatherKit requests under its own privacy terms and service conditions.
BørneVejr Plus is handled through Apple.
Optional BørneVejr Plus purchases and purchase restoration use Apple's StoreKit and App Store infrastructure. Apple handles the payment transaction and associated payment details.
The app reads the StoreKit product information and verified entitlement or transaction status needed to show the current price, complete a purchase, restore a purchase and determine whether BørneVejr Plus is unlocked.
Sabonex does not receive payment-card details through the app. Apple may retain and process purchase information according to Apple's own legal obligations and privacy terms.
No advertising or analytics tracking.
BørneVejr 1.0 does not include analytics, advertising, cross-app or cross-website tracking, or a Sabonex backend for storing user or child data.
The in-app "too cold / suitable / too warm" feedback choice is currently held only in memory while the app is running. It is not saved to the child profile and is not transmitted to Sabonex.
External services used by BørneVejr.
BørneVejr 1.0 relies on Apple platform services for a limited set of functions:
- Apple geocoding / Core Location services are used to translate an entered city or postcode into a geographic location for the weather lookup.
- Apple WeatherKit provides weather forecast data for that location.
- Apple App Store / StoreKit provides product information, purchase processing and entitlement verification for BørneVejr Plus.
If you contact Sabonex at info@sabonex.com, the information in your message is handled through Sabonex's email provider as described in the general website privacy notice.
How long information is kept.
Child profiles stored locally remain on the device until you edit or delete them in the app, or remove the app's local data. Sabonex does not keep a server-side copy of those profiles in the current version.
Purchase history and entitlement information handled by Apple are retained according to Apple's App Store and legal requirements. Support emails sent to Sabonex are kept only for as long as reasonably needed for the conversation, follow-up, documentation or other legitimate purposes.
Your privacy rights and choices.
You can edit or delete locally stored child profiles directly in the app. Because Sabonex does not receive those local profiles, Sabonex cannot access or erase them remotely on your behalf.
For personal data that Sabonex does hold, such as information you send in a support email, applicable privacy law may give you rights including access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection and, in some situations, data portability.
For privacy questions or requests, email info@sabonex.com. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. In Denmark, that authority is Datatilsynet.
If BørneVejr changes, this notice will change too.
This notice describes the current local-first version of BørneVejr. If a future version adds accounts, a Sabonex backend, cloud sync, analytics, advertising, new data sharing or other material data handling, this notice will be updated before or alongside that change as required.
The latest version of this notice will remain available at this address.
